Pet Name Tips for Naming Your New
Puppy or Kitty
- Keep the pet
name very short:
one or two syllable
if possible, so it is
easier for the puppy
to recognize it.
- Don't Keep in mind
you will have to train
your puppy, so try not
to name him or her a
pet name similar to
any commands to avoid
confusion. For example,
"Snow" sounds
like "no".
You get the idea.
- Remember that if
you choose a long puppy
name or kitty name,
then people will shorten
it even if you don't
want to. Does the nickname
sound good as well?
- The pet breed can
give you some puppy
name ideas, so learning
about the breed might
be a good idea.
