When Dogs Wear Dresses

"When dogs wear dresses" - Sounds like a silly saying people use when talking about something that will never happen, doesn't it? It's sort of like saying, "That'll happen when pigs fly." I can imagine someone saying "yeah, I'll pay him back...when dogs wear dresses!" Well, if some poor fool ever did say that, he'd better break out his wallet, because dog dresses are a hot canine apparel item. Are they practical dog clothes? Of course not! Are they completely frivolous? Absolutely! But are they fun? You'd better believe it, and that's why buying a cute girl a dainty dog dress is the perfect way to show your pet is pampered.

These days, dogs aren't so much pets as they are furry family members. In fact, many people probably prefer their pooch's company over certain humans. Dog groomers have expanded into dog spas, dog kennels have become pet hotels, and so on. It's no surprise that dog clothes are a big item on the pet market today. A dog dress is good because it's another way for an owner to enjoy and have fun with his or her dog. There are many styles available from the simple to the extravagant and even the downright elegant. There are also all sorts of sizes from an extra small to a big dog dress. They're way chaeaper than human apparel (or at least they should be), and they make a great converstion piece at a party or in the park. I know of many dogs that love getting dressed because they know they're going to get more attention from it. I guess if I had to finish the saying from before, then it would go like this, "When dogs wear dresses, you know they're pampered and loved."
