Finding the perfect Dog Costume
by: Grant Carroll
If you’re thinking about buying a dog costume for Halloween, Christmas or another holiday, there are some important things to consider. First of all, you must determine if the costume will even be comfortable. There’s no point in torturing your dog so everyone can have a good laugh. Fortunately, most pet costumes are designed for comfort and ease. However, many have head pieces that only some dogs will like wearing. Unless you’re okay with putting back on those devil horns every time he shakes them off all night, don’t bother getting them. Secondly, you must consider safety. For example, if your dog is going to be out trick-or-treating then the costume must be visible to cars. Also, make sure that it’s not too difficult for him to walk while dressed. You don’t want him tripping and hurting himself because of a Halloween costume. Finally, you must consider style. If you’re shopping for Halloween costumes, then pretty much anything goes. However, you don’t want your friend dressing as Dracula for Thanksgiving, Christmas or Easter…..obviously. Aside from the season, think about what type of costume you want. Should it match yours? Do you want it to be scary, fanciful or funny? If you take time to think it through, then you’re sure to get the exact dog costume you need.
